Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation. Your might to all who are to come. Psalm 71:17 - 18

Miley Cyrus - Leave the Poor Girl Alone!

Poor girl...will you just leave her alone?

Miley Cyrus gets busted for her "lapse of judgement" when a photo erupts on the internet which shows her goofing around with her friends and making funny faces. Manipulating her eyes to make them look slanted, Asian groups have blasted her being racist.

I laughed when I read they wanted her to publically apologize for her "lapse of judgement"...because, well...that was probably it. She had no judgement. She's 16 years old...let the girl have some fun, without faulting her and making accusations that she's racist! Talk about blowing this out of proportion...Asians deliberatly make those faces all the time to make fun of each other!

where's the passion?

I dont know why, but I've just been SUPER busy these past few weeks.
Actually, I do know why...there's a lot of stuff to do.
But, these past few weeks, I've been listening to 2 artists in particular, and it's just reminded me to sit back and relax sometimes.
I dont think I've lead worship for a very long time now...and I do feel it. In a sense that during those times, when I sing, I feel it's just me and God.
Sometimes, that passion just get sucked up by the busyn
ess of the world.
Must...re...gain...passion.

I love Alicia Keys. I think she sings with such soul. You should check out this most current album she has...it's so great.

My current fav song from her is "Lesson Learned" featuring John Mayer, and the 2nd verse, is sung with so much darn emotion! Listen to that heart.

Jason Mraz is another artist that I like. His voice is so smooth and soulful and dreamy...

haha, did I say dreamy? Yes sirree...it seranades me.

What can I say...I just have a lot of respect for people who can sing...who says a girl cant dream ;)

First Year Anniversary

So Vince and I celebrated our first year anniversary by going back to the place where we got married. Well, not married, but where we had our reception.
He arranged to have the same meal as the one we served on our wedding day..mainly because on that day, it was so hectic that I never got to have a bite of the delicious food. I know I posted up some pictures on Facebook, but here are some as well :)

They set up a sign for us...such attention to detail!

We went back to the place where we took pictures, and took them ourselves! They didnt turn out as nice, of course :)

*kiss* *kiss*

Sitting up in the private area where they set up...it overlooks the 18th hole on the golf course.
A wonderful way to celebrate... :)

a promise

I know I havent been very faithful here at blogspot...but I promise that I'll blog more often.
I guess it just means that my life isnt very interesting.

But my husband's is....just so you know, V is a gamer. He loves to play on his xbox and recently acquired PS3. This sat morning, him and 3 of his buddies are going to be the first people in Cineplex Odeon history to rent out a theater and play xbox on it. I bet you didnt know that the theaters have teamed up with Microsoft to offer this to customers.

Anyway, they're going this Saturday, and are being interviewed by the media section of the National Post! The boys think it's hilarious...the wives think it's insanely embarrassing.

So, more updates and potential pictures in the future.

PEACE.

The wedding of Vincent and Kelly

On Saturday, September 1st 2007, Vince and I got married at Grace Church on the Hill. It was absolutely an amazing day, filled with fun, laughter, memories and joys. But most of all, it was a day that reminded us of God's goodness, His provision, and His grace.

I had wanted the atmosphere for the wedding to be God centred...to show that everything that happened on that day and leading up to that day, was His doing. And now...after everything, may He be honoured in our lives as well.

Here are some pictures from our wedding...enjoy. We certainly did! :)

The day started early for the girls. At 6am, the girls, May (who did my hair) and Diana (my DEAR friend who did our make up) came knocking at my parent's door (along with Elvin, Carol's boyfriend who was so cheery, that everyone wanted to kill him). This is Di doing our make up.

one of my lovely bridesmaids, Alyssa Chan (who's father is my Pastor...and boss). She always finds something funny to do with random stuff, and of course, knowing me, I have to play along. This shot took forever cuz I couldnt get that hair chopstick to stay on my lips. lol.

My Dad was an emotional WRECK on that day. And the days that lead up to the wedding...and the days that are after the wedding. He's insane...

This is E, our little ring bearer. He's the cutest kid that we know, and Vince and I would have wanted no other boy to be our special ring carrier. I'm reading to him in this picture...and it's because his sister (who was our flower girl) was getting her hair done and he had nothing to do. So we were chilling together.

At the same time that the girls were getting our hair and make up done, the guys had gone to the church early to get some photos, just them. Here, Vince is in the middle surrounded by some of the best men in his life.

Another one of my bridesmaid, Carol...who was frantically calling the guys to tell them that we had arrived!!!
I didnt want Vince to see me that morning before I walked down the aisle...and they were just outside the church walking around, doing nothing. So she C did the dirty work.

My dad walking me down the aisle. It was completely surreal, the whole time. I was totally aware of what was going on...but not "there" at the same time. I cant explain it...

Definetly a few of my favourite pictures with the wedding party. Too bad we didnt do one with all of us. Look, even the kids are in these ones :) Here's one with just Vince and I.

This last picture is one that I think truly reflects our feelings on that day. A sense of joy, happiness, excitement and gratefulness.

I end off with the verse that was read on our wedding day. May we bring honour and glory to our Father through this marriage.

For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. - Colossians 2:16-17
